I took this video while on a run along Riverside park.
For those who haven’t seen or been near Riverside, you may think that there is nothing in the distance.
Actually, there is a whole beautiful Jersey city that was covered by the fog and clouds that day.
I had to stop and take a video because I felt like this depicted something a lot of us go through in our lives.
God has a unique plan for each and every one for us, yet because we don’t physically see what’s ahead, we tend to doubt, give up, or do things that deter us from our goals.
We tend to think that because we can’t see it, we are not going to get it -
and let me tell you - that is fake news!
I’m going to use a fitness example:
For those who want to achieve a three/four/six pack
ALL OF US have abs but they’re just covered by our layers of fat.
Yet, for those who consistently work out and eat right , they will start to see their abs more defined because they are persistent and determined.
More importantly, they are not letting what they don’t see at the moment, DETER them from what they eventually will see!
So the same mindset can be applied to all aspects of our lives
If you have a vision/plan/goal and plan to achieve it, keep it there!
Do not let time discourage you.
I had thought the fog and clouds would disappear within a few hours, but when I went back the next day, the fog was still there; it was as if that whole city behind it, didn’t exist.
So whether or not this year has been one where you felt like you were going from obstacle to obstacle and or working hard for something that you were not achieving
Do not give up!
Let me ask you this
If you were to take a kayak/boat to sail across the river on that foggy day, would you stop because you couldn’t see what was on the other side, or would you take a leap of FAITH and try to get to the other side?
Keep pushing through the clouds; I guarantee you that the fog in your life will disappear and you will see what you have been working so hard to attain.
Go into the next year with even fiercer determination.
2020 Let's get it ~
